What is Forest School?

"We love Foxglove! As a family with no outdoor space of our own, we were looking for a group where my kid could learn about the natural world - get muddy, dig, splash and explore freely. These sessions have been incredible - his confidence and understanding of the world around us has grown enormously, along with a real sense of wonder and respect for living things."

"It was great for us, she absolutely loved the story each week, the crafts, her obsession for slugs went through the roof and she was always reminding people of the forest school rules. So much so when we tried another forest school on top of this one she didn’t gel with it as it didn’t have the freedom and difference of activities each week.
I’d absolutely recommend it to a friend."

"After a year of lockdowns & difficulties, I was desperate to take my daughter to an outdoor based activity.
Knowing very little about Forest School, I was really pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming and nurturing ‘safe space’ which really allowed my daughter to indulge her creativity and explore a sensory experience in an outdoor environment. After the first session, I found myself desperately waiting for the next one & my chance to let my daughter run wild and explore a space where mud and mess is positively encouraged!
I would definitely recommend Foxglove Forest School, and I’m looking forward to it starting again in the Spring."
